8-pin Microphone Connector

An 8-pin microphone connector for Elecraft, Icom, Kenwood and Yaesu transceivers. Features a small screw to lock the plastic pin-holder in place, and a 2-screw cable grip.

Can be used with a 3.5mm inline socket to make a headset adapter.  Modern Icom radios have voltage on the "Mic" pin so no R+C bias is required - just connect Mic+Gnd to the tip+ring of the 3.5mm socket.  Kenwood and Yaesu radios will need a 1k resistor and a 1uF DC blocking capacitor from the tip to the +5v and Mic pins respectively.
